Martin McGuinness said in a recent video interview: "I represent people that have been terribly hurt by British state violence over the course of many years, but I am also big enough to understand that Queen Elizabeth has also lost a loved one, and...

"…of course there are families in Britain. Mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers, children of people who were sent here as British soldiers who lost their lives also." Movements in other countries could learn something here. http://reut.rs/L1pIjy

We need to better define the meaning of the Fit and Proper test in media ownership. #NewsCorp seem to think that regulators and the rest of us are completely stupid. #CorpGov First they close #NewsoftheWorld and, shortly after, open up the @SunOnSunday,

as if we wouldn't notice the play. Now they have come up with the brilliant idea to separate their newspaper businesses from the rest of their media holdings. The #Murdoch family of course would remain in charge of both businesses. The idea is that we will forget about what their newspapers did and later they will relaunch their bid for #BskyB as if nothing had happened. Perhaps Lord Leveson at the #LevesonInquiry can look into that as well.
